許多女性都有被非禮的經歷，近年香港非禮案件數字不斷攀升，「分享非禮經驗」更是一個香港流行的網上討論區 “Uwants.com”的長期話題，可見問題的嚴重性。
只是分享或許並不足夠，需要積極面對。「重寫歷史」重寫作者自身和別人的非禮經歷去面對一些負面的經驗和商榷社會上的一些錯誤的觀念。通過剪、雕、去釋放感覺和想像，可說是一個解咒的過程。
作品內的每個故事皆有其特殊性和針對性，例如有地鐵的經歷，因香港許多案件都在交通工具尤其是地鐵內發生的；又例如有強調父母和旁人的態度的；又例如有男性被非禮的故事。

Many women have experienced indecent assaulted. The number of reported indecent assaulted cases has increased rapidly in Hong Kong. “Share indecent assaulted experience” is a permanent and hottest topic on a popular Hong Kong forum“Uwants.com” on the Internet.
Since merely experience sharing might not be enough, one need to face the issue in an active way. “Rewrite the history” is an art work to rewrite the artist’s and other victims’ personal experiences. It is to face the negative experience. Through cutting and sculpting, making destruction and construction, negative feelings and one’s imagination can be released. It is a process of un-tying the curse.
Each story
in the art work has its uniqueness and tried to confront the misconceptions of
the society. For example, one of the stories happened in MTR. In Hong Kong, a
lot of cases happened on the vehicle especially MTR. Another story focused on
the parent’s and the witness’s attitude. A story is about a boy being sexually
harassed.
