1a Space“Talkover/Handover: Dialogues on Hong Kong art 10 years after 1997”

Words on cakes are usually about good wishes. The words on the art work "Cakes" is the opposite; it is about the dialogue between two lovers who have tense relationship, e.g. "The tenth anniversary is at the door. How should we celebrate?" " Have we even ever been together at all?". The work was made to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong handover to China in 2007.

The work can be eaten during the opening of the show. The action of eating can mean:
1. digest something, agree with something.
2. disagree with something and eat it with anger.
It is up to the audience on how to eat the cakes.
